Roles and moderation

Ctrl Room has four roles.

Role	Can do
Member	Chat, react, start threads, pin to the board, join calls, search.
Mod	Everything a member can, plus: post in announcement rooms, create and revoke invites, delete messages from members, remove or ban members, close any thread.
Admin	Everything a mod can, plus: add and delete rooms, edit the community's name, icon and description, make it public, make people mods or members.
Owner	Everything, plus making people admins. There is one owner per community.

People can only act on others ranked below them. A mod can't remove another mod, and nobody can remove the owner.

Change someone's role

Admins and the owner change roles in Settings → People with the role menu next to each person.

Remove or ban

In Settings → People:

• Remove takes someone out of the community. They can come back with an invite.
• Ban removes them and stops them rejoining. Add a reason; only mods and up can see it. Banned people are listed under Banned, where you can Unban them.
